About SCIP
The Sandhills Crisis Intervention Program (SCIP) is a dual domestic violence and sexual assault program that serves Arthur, Deuel, Garden, Grant, Keith, and Perkins Counties in Nebraska. SCIP is committed to the prevention and elimination of interpersonal and family violence in the lives of children, women, and men through empowerment, education, and social action.

Our Vision
Sandhills Crisis Intervention Program envisions rural communities where every person lives free from violence, fear, and oppression. We strive for communities that respond to victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking and trafficking with compassion, and accountability; where survivors are believed, supported, and empowered to heal; offenders are held accountable and where children can grow up in safe, supportive environments and the cycle of violence is broken for future generations.
Our Philosophy
Sandhills Crisis Intervention Program believes that every individual has the right to live free from violence, abuse, intimidation, and oppression.
We recognize that domestic violence, sexual assault, dating violence, stalking, and human trafficking are rooted in the misuse of power and control. These forms of violence affect individuals, families, and communities regardless of age, race, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, marital status, religion, disability, socioeconomic status, immigration status, or geographic location.
SCIP provides trauma-aware-empowerment based, survivor-centered, advocacy. We believe survivors are the experts in their own lives and have the right to make informed decisions about their safety, healing, and future. Our role is to provide information, support, resources, advocacy, and opportunities—not to make decisions for those we serve.
We are committed to promoting social justice by addressing barriers that contribute to violence and inequality while fostering collaboration throughout our communities to improve safety, accountability, and access to services.
